Punk, alternative rock and beyond

Punk and alternative rock form the backbone, but each song changes shape with the story: from intimate passages to raw outbursts.

Autobiography meets Monte Cristo

An autobiographical story refracted through The Count of Monte Cristo: love, imprisonment, lost identities, transformation, the sea, and a return to the surface.

We already know the beginning and the end

Lost in Le Panier came first, before it became clear that it would be the ending of a larger story. I Sold Her Sea became its beginning. The eight songs in between are shaping the journey.

The Things I Never Said

LISTEN TO THE ALBUM

The things left unspoken: grief, love, guilt, parenthood, and the distance between who we are and who we thought we would become. The first album weaves personal confession into social unease, raising a question that runs through Particle Collapse: what remains of us when the identities we have built begin to fall apart?

The Mirror and The Machine

LISTEN TO THE ALBUM

The seven deadly sins run through algorithms, consumption, anger, and the need for recognition. Then the gaze turns inward: what seemed like an accusation against the world becomes a confession. The second album turns the machine into a mirror. It was never only outside us.

Generation Funeral

LISTEN TO THE ALBUM

A funeral for the person we thought we would become. The third album moves through grief and the compromises of adulthood, through routine, exhaustion, and a fading sense of self. It closes with Unfinished: losing the old version of ourselves may be the first step towards beginning again.

Inside Particle Collapse

Particle Collapse is Luca Ferretti’s independent music project. Punk and alternative rock meet autobiography, literature, and social criticism: each album begins with a personal question and explores it through a story.

Life as a starting point

Grief, love, guilt, identity, and the compromises of adulthood. These songs grow out of what changes us and the words that often come only afterwards.

""

Albums as stories

Each record builds a journey. Songs become chapters that speak to one another: an image returns, a perspective shifts, the ending calls the beginning into question.

""

Looking inward, looking outward

Personal stories meet the world that shapes them: social expectations, consumption, algorithms, and belonging. The narrative moves constantly between what we experience and what influences us.

Behind the Scenes of The Count of the Outskirts

Lost in Le Panier came before the story it would eventually bring to a close. I Sold Her Sea marked its beginning. Between these two songs, The Count of the Outskirts is taking shape: a journey through autobiography and Monte Cristo, from Marseille to the parts of ourselves still waiting to resurface.
